AUDITION APPLICATION

2025-26 Season

Audition to become a company member and participate in GO!'s many performance opportunities during our 25-26 Season!

Who:

Dancers enrolled in SAFD's Level V - Advanced Ballet AND Modern classes are eligible. Must currently be proficient in Ballet AND Modern Dance.

When:

Saturday, August 9, 2025

Rising Level V-Int 1: 10:00-11:30AM | Rising Int 2-Adv 2: 11:45AM-2:00PM *Arrive 15 minutes early to receive your audition number

*Video audition requests are accepted if a dancer is unable to attend in person

STUDIO ARTS for dancers

Audition Fee:

$30

Attire:

Solid black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes, pointe shoes (optional)

Auditions will consist of the following:

• Classical Ballet Class (pointe work optional)

• Contemporary Phrase Work

• Choreographic Phrase Work

• Improvisation

• Strength Test (for aerial consideration)

Auditions will be led, and dancers will be evaluated by Artistic Director, Lisa Hall McKee and GO!'s team of choreographers.

You will receive notification regarding the status of your acceptance by August 10th.

• If accepted, you will also receive the Cast List for the first performance of the Season.

• Upon acceptance, the dancer and a parent/guardian must attend a mandatory meeting on Monday, August 11th from 6:00-7:00pm @ SAFD for ALL Company Members.

• FIRST YEAR Company Members and a parent/guardian are required to also attend a brief discussion from 5:30-6:00pm prior to the ALL Company Meeting.

• This is a mandatory meeting and cannot be attended virtually.

Terms & Conditions:

I understand that GO! Contemporary Dance Works can use my appearance on video or photography for publicity or promotional purposes. I understand there is an audition fee of $30 payable upon submission of this application. I, as parent/legal guardian of my child, knowingly assume all injury and risks as relating to any dance activity held by GO! Contemporary Dance Works. I knowingly waive any cause of action I might have in tort, negligence, or strict liability against GO!, its director, instructors, choreographers or board of directors. As parent/legal guardian, I consent for the above applicant to participate in activities, classes, rehearsals and performances sponsored by GO!. Upon signing, I agree not to file any claim procedure in connection with any injuries, damages or losses that may occur, directly or indirectly from participation in any activities sponsored by GO!.
