ABOUT GO!
Founded in 2003, GO! Contemporary Dance Works is a 501(c)3 non-profit dance company established by Artistic Director, Lisa Hall McKee in Knoxville, Tennessee.
MISSION
GO!'s mission is to elevate enthusiasm for the performing arts within the East Tennessee community by providing opportunities for youth to express artistry through dance.

GO! is known for it's daring, innovative, and adventurous choreography that merges and defies the boundaries of classical ballet, contemporary, and aerial dance. Delivering thought-provoking and intellectual productions to the Knoxville area, GO! challenges its audience with both subject matter and choreography. GO!'s elaborate and adventurous performances appeal to dancers and non-dancers alike. They uplift, intrigue, and continue to surpass the expectations of audiences.
THE COMPANY
GO! consists of 50 dancers ages 12 and up, including professionals. In addition to its talented core choreographers, GO! has commissioned choreographic works from regional and international choreographers such as Joy Davis, a dance artist and educator steeped in the practices of Countertechnique® by Anouk Van Dijk, Danah Bella, an award-winning choreographer and the Artistic Director of d a n a h b e l l a DanceWorks, Daniel Chait, former dancer with Twyla Tharp Dance Company and the American Ballet Theatre under the direction of Michael Baryshnikov, Marlayna Locklear, a founding member of The Milwaukee Dance Connection and former dancer with Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, Deeply Rooted Dance Theatre, and Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Jacqueline Kinsman, Rebecca Evans, and Mark Lamb, founder of Mark Lamb Dance Projects in New York City.
Community Involvement
Active in the Knoxville community, GO! has made efforts to make the performing arts accessible by bringing on-site performances to the local public. GO! has performed for local organizations such as Knox County Elementary Schools, public festivals in Downtown Knoxville such as the Knoxville Opera's Rossini Festival, Holiday Echo Ridge Senior Living Center, the Ossilli Club, and many more. GO! annually performs with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra as guest artists for their Clayton Holiday Concerts as well as their educational Young Peoples Concerts. GO! is proud to partner with other non-profit organizations such as the Volunteer Rotary Club, the Lighthouse, the Boys and Girls Club, the YMCA, and the Emerald Youth Foundation. With productions that artistically link history and dance, GO! continues to use the medium of dance in Knoxville to uplift education, elevate enthusiasm for the performing arts, and magnify young artists' voices.
