UNSUNG
HEROES
THE FOrgotten stories of
the WOMEN of WORLD WAR II
2014
2020
A tribute to women worldwide, this ballet tells the forgotten stories of women's sacrifices during World War II.
In the U.S., over 400,000 American women filled vast holes in the labor force during the war. The women did it all: flying military aircraft, combat on the front lines, building naval warships, parachute rigging, Clerical jobs in the armed forces, truck driving, industrial production, and welding.
Away from the U.S., "Unsung Heroes" portrays the dark realities faced during the Holocaust and the untold stories of women inside the genocide. Following this journey, the audience also meets the women in espionage across the globe who helped bring an end to the war!
